Employability Partnership
Post- rehabilitated youths face stigmatization, brokenness, despair, near death experiences that
most are grateful to have survived.
Stigmatization is an issue in the workforce especially for alcohol addicts even when they have
recovered. It is difficult for such individuals to be deployed or employed as a result of their past
alcohol and substance abuse. Societally, majority are not convinced that recovery brings
transformation, within the workforce and the corporates. In light of this, YRF has several programs
in partnership with organizations in order to tackle the issues that prevent individuals from
achieving gainful employment through job coaching, placement assistance and skill-building
initiatives.
The Youth Restoration Foundation has established various partnerships and collaborations to support its mission. These include:
-
Training and Employment Programs: Providing training and job opportunities for youth recovering from substance use disorder, equipping them with valuable skills to re-enter the workforce.
-
Employer Support Programs: Initiatives led by employers to help their employees access resources and treatment for substance use disorder, prioritizing workplace well-being.
-
Recovery-Friendly Organizations: Companies with policies that foster a supportive environment for individuals in recovery, recognizing their value and potential as employees.
-
Recovery-Owned Businesses: Businesses owned by individuals in recovery that often employ others in similar situations, creating a positive and encouraging workplace.
-
Employability Initiatives: Various programs designed to improve job prospects for young people recovering from alcohol and drug abuse, helping them build a stable and successful future.
