About Us

Youth Restoration Foundation (YRF) is non-governmental and non-profitable social organization established by a team of experts with vast experience in different sectors to promote youth capacity development and provide employment opportunities to youth. The Foundation is in the process of legal registration by the NGO Coordination Board under the constitution of the Republic of Kenya. Youth Restoration Foundation is focused on empowering youth through community initiatives in diverse areas such as alcohol and drug abuse rehabilitation, youth development and capacity building on entrepreneurship, health, education, research, environment & climate change, food security, gender equality and peace and security. We promote and secure vulnerable and marginalized youth through entrepreneurship capacity-building and providing them with employment opportunities in collaboration with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Youth Restoration Foundation aspires to empower vulnerable youth from different forms of life struggles in order to restore their dignity as responsible citizens. We want to improve the living conditions of the poor and marginalized youth by adopting strategies through community initiative, participation and sensitization. YRF was founded in 2023 and it currently operates in Murang’a and Kiambu Counties. Since its establishment, YRF has established collaborations with more than 20 rehabilitation centres, over 50 SMEs, over 10 religious organizations, 1 university, 2 banking institutions and 3 community based organizations.

Framework

We are a non-profital & Charity raising money for child education

Carpentry

We connect participants with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to receive training in construction and decorative woodworking techniques, enabling them to build simple structures for both residential and commercial purposes.

Plumbing

We provide basic training in wastewater management, drainage systems, and sanitary installation, equipping trainees with skills to secure employment in plumbing or maintenance roles.

Hospitality

Trainees learn how to transform raw materials into prepared food, preparing them for careers in both domestic and commercial culinary settings.

Agribusiness

We offer seed funding for the purchase of seedlings and agricultural inputs, enabling participants to grow their own food and generate income by selling surplus produce. Additionally, we facilitate access to markets for their products.

Welding

Through partnerships with local welders, we offer training in metalwork, ensuring that participants can effectively operate welding machinery upon completion.

Masonry

Participants gain hands-on experience by joining construction sites, earning income while learning essential skills in masonry.

Mechanics

We collaborate with local garages to provide basic training in vehicle and machinery repair and maintenance, empowering participants to pursue careers in automotive or mechanical engineering.

Entrepreneurship

Recognizing the entrepreneurial potential of our participants, we offer foundational training in business management and concepts to enhance their chances of success in self-employment ventures.

Computer Literacy

Participants are equipped with essential computer skills to navigate the digital landscape, improving their employability and adaptability in the modern job market.
